ESTETICA PARADISIACA
On 18th March, the Chamber of Deputies has hosted a press conference to introduce the Italian art movement defined as Estetica Paradisiaca. In addition, the Fondazione Venanzo Crocetti museum is hosting the first retrospective on its most representative artworks.
On this occasion it was noted how Italy had not developed any new avant-gardes in a long time. The latest ones were Marinetti's Futurism, Celant's Arte Povera and Bonito Oliva's Transavantgarde.
Estetica Paradisiaca – Italian art movement theorised by critic and curator Daniele Radini Tedeschi in the first decade of the 2000s – expresses the will to realise a sort of Heaven on Earth based on an artistic utopia.
Its prerogatives include the love for the viewer, delicate rendering and the ability to plunge the public into an atmosphere of fraternity and common feeling.
The Fondazione Venanzo Crocetti museum is currently hosting the first retrospective on the movement, which clearly shows its intentions and the value of its artworks. The exhibition, presented by curator Stefania Pieralice with the participation of theorist Daniele Radini Tedeschi, will close on 7th April.
The elegant catalogue of the retrospective – organised by START srls – was presented during the press conference held at the Chamber of Deputies. Daniele Radini Tedeschi, Stefania Pieralice and other lecturers in the field of art took part in the debate, moderated by Gianni Lattanzio. The conference focused on a further dissertation on the new art movement, which had already been analysed in the books “Tiltestetica” and “Last Paradise” (2013-2014, published by Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori.)
The artworks included in the catalogue will be shown until 7th April at the Venanzo Crocetti museum in Rome. They are mainly characterised by light hues and by the representation of ideal concepts, which in their concreteness appear ethereal, as powerful beams of light tending to sublimation and to spiritual elevation.
Featured artists: Aldo Basili, Angela Leopatri, Antonella Spinelli, Bernarda Visentini, Brigitte Cabell, Cor Fafiani, Daniela Ferrero, Emanuela Fera, Flora Torrisi, Gabriella Martino, Gabriella Mingardi, Gian Luigi Castelli, Giovanni Scagnoli, Laura Longhitano Ruffilli, Lidia Bobbone, Lucia Balzano, Lucienne Vescovo, Osvalda Pucci, Rita Vitaloni, Rossella Pezzino de Geronimo, Siberiana Di Cocco, Stefano Di Loreto, Valeria Contino. A special mention goes to the exhibitors who are also taking part in the 56th edition of the Venice Biennale: Sabrina Bertolelli, Adriana Montalto, Roberto Miniati, Salvatore Ruggeri, Teresa Condito, Carlo Guidetti, Carmelo Leone, Paolo Residori, Carlo Marraffa.
